i’ve been thinking about this a lot:

because these things are not with effect.

even if those effects are not immediately visible, even if they’re seeded in the next generation, even if they don’t boil to the surface for twenty years, still, there is an effect.

a cultural legacy.

someday, i guarantee it, there will be a price to pay for all of this.
